C, maybe TAB, maybe another TAB....
Look for the V(down arrow) in purple. Hit it with sniper shot
max of 4 key presses. While the T might be nice it is not really needed. I have played a lot of conditional skill users though. That means I tend to look for the hexed foes.

It was really challenging at first, but only because I didn't carefully read the skills. The biggest problem I've felt is the sin being pretty sketchy. She seems to choose her own target, independent of what you call, and at one point I had to kill a mesmer by myself, she didn't even jump in.
I can totally see some people struggling, especially if you've never really played ranger. The best advice, mentioned already, is to pounce on a target that she marks with a hex by using your sniper shot, and spam your interrupt on everything you can. The last two skills need good timing, don't waste them.

Keep in mind that Miku has a smaller aggro circle than Keiran.
Sometimes you need to pull enemies closer to Miku, so she'll attack.
You should always try to have Miku in the center of the action, the minute she dies or loses aggro, I am usually out of there, waiting for her to respawn.

Ok, I take back everything I said. The quests are pretty easy if you do not play while multitasking 500 things at the same time, so I suppose it does not keep the average player out of the content --> no problem

As weird as it may sound for some, i just use longbow for pulling with 3 (due to quick recharge) or 4 (due to barrage-like effect), then move a few steps back and switch to recurve. Works perfectly to get Miku in the heat of battle and get the most aggro on her.

First thing, this content is easy. It's trivial in Normal Mode (This isn't really a bad thing). With some decent execution, it's not much different in Hard Mode.
Secondly, adding a res shrine would make death completely meaningless. The way the disguise mechanism works (overrides your max health and energy) would mean Death Penalty would have no effect.
This would need fixing if you were to add the capability for resurrection.

I didn't find the content difficult either. I probably have an advantage with it because I always play a Ranger, though, so I'm kind of in the rhythm of that class anyway.
My advice is to know Thackeray's skills and use them wisely, and to remember that a Ranger attacks at range. The melee can take you down quickly if you let them, so if you're getting hit hard, back off and heal, and let Miku do the tanking. Also, terrain matters a lot for Rangers. Bows fire better downhill than uphill, and you won't be effective against an obstructed-view target. Expect that you'll have to change position at times.
I also advise bring your own bow if that's practical for you. As soon as I got into the missions, I switched to my own flatbow-- it has better range than Thackeray's weapon, I'm used to its arc and refire rate, and it has my preferred mods. I suggest grabbing a bow off one of your characters or one of your heroes rather than using the one the game provides.
I enjoyed this content, and I don't think it needs a rez, personally.

Energy and health mods will not work in the solo quests, but armor, damage, and condition-extending mods will. I suggest taking a poisonous bowstring and grip of defense/shelter.

IMO they're not that hard, and they encourage people to learn a couple basic skills you really should have by the time you have gotten this far in the game anyways. Like pulling, deciding who to kill first, interrupting key skills (even someone who never plays an interrupt class should know and be able to interrupt res skills and meteor shower), knowing when to retreat, basic skill synergy, attacking called targets (miku destroys blocking and causes conditions that go with your skills), etc....
And, here's a little hint, every encounter with Keiran can be easily beaten by just running away and trying again when things get dangerous, none of the enemies chase you very far and miku will revive on her own whenever she dies. Save your condition removing shot to remove cripple (or better, avoid/kite the enemies that cause it) and be mindful of when your healing skill runs out. At the very least you'll eventually snipe them down. You'd be surprised how many players never even consider running away as an option until it's far too late to do so.

That easily acquired bow also has health and energy mods. Not exactly what I was describing.
Not like a poisonous bowstring is rare or anything...

Oh, and also, watch for patrols. If you keep your eye on patrols (and run away if a patrol is coming at you and you're already in a fight) you will almost never fight more than 3 enemies at once.

How do people even get to this quest not knowing GW basics though? I think Anet should do the opposite of putting a res, they should give your character permadeath if you fail these quests more than 5 times. It's for the better of us all, that we never have to PUG with shepherded-through players that don't know wtf.

That's what I did and it worked great. Switching to a longbow or flatbow helps too. Once you are down to just Rotscale, you can go ahead and engage fully since Miku seems to hold her own against him just fine. First time I ever killed him too!
